Athletes Supervisor & Expert concerning academics, sports and the life in the USA

Jan, 35 years old, withholds a great expertise about US college soccer and the academic system. He himself earned a four-year athletic scholarship and played for Stony Brook University, New York and Berry College, Georgia. Additionally, he competed in the PDL (Schulz Academy, Ft. Lauderdale NOVA Royals, Washington DC), which is the highest Amateur League in the US. Through his experience and time in the US, he has developed a great personal network with multiple college coaches.Jan graduated with a Bachelor in Biologie and earned a Master in Biology of Human Health and Perfomance at Maastricht University. Currently Jan studies medicine at the University Düsseldorf.

Maurits Schön

Athletes Supervisor & Person in charge for every contractual matter

Maurits, 30 years old, is particularly responsible for all matters concerning the players contracts at Vista and acts as an athlete supervisor.
Maurits lived abroad for a number of years (Costa Rica, Spain, Sweden and Argentina) during his studies and also professionally. He works full-time as a lawyer for the OneFootball platform.
Maurits is in constant contact with clubs from the Bundesliga, high-class German amateur clubs and international clubs. In addition to his career as a player in Berlin and Cologne (Verbandsliga Senioren), Maurits has over 8 years of experience as a youth coach.

Sören Stephan

Scouting / Highlightvideo & Management
Sören, 32 years old, is responsible for the athletic expertise and scouting on German soil and he creates the Highlight-Tapes.
Sören works as a scout in the youth academy of FC Bayern München. Additionally he works as mentor at the FIFA Technical Development Program. Before he was scouting for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany and the USA. He owns a Bachelor in Sportsmanagement and a Master in Exercise Science and Coaching at the German Sports University in Cologne. He spent three months at the best soccer academy in Zimbabwe and additionally was a member of the “Team Cologne”, who analyze the opponents of the German National team.

Tom Lohmann

Athletes Supervisor & Expert concerning academics, sports and the life in the USA
Tom, 29 years old, joined Vista in late 2020. With his expertise, he is the perfect athlete advisor and confidential source for coaches in the USA.
Tom spent seven years in the United States serving as a player and coach. He began his Bachelor in Management in New York at Nyack College and then moved to Montana State University Billings, where he not only continued his studies and was a captain for three years, but also completed his Masters in Public Relations and became part of the coaching staff. Tom was assistant trainer, goalkeeper trainer and recruiting coordinator for two seasons and thus got the best insight into the world of college coaches and recruiting.
Tom was also able to gain experience on the field in the 2nd Icelandic League and in the PDL (now USL League Two), where he won the National Championship in 2016 with the Michigan Bucks (now Flint City Bucks). Tom has been back in Germany since 2020 and, as an athlete supervisor, is very happy to help the next generation of players have the time of their lives. Tom works full-time at 1. FC Union Berlin and is in charge of the academy scouting.

Bianca Joswiak

Athletes Supervisor & Person in Charge of Women’s Soccer
Bianca, 31 years old, has been responsible for women’s soccer at Vista Athletics since the middle of 2021.
Bianca herself was on a football scholarship for four years at the University of Central Florida, where she did a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After her time in the USA, she did her Masters in International Marketing in Berlin.
Bianca was also part of the German national teams from U15 to U20 and has been helping soccer players get sports scholarships in the USA since 2016.

Hendrik Kühn

Athletes Supervisor
Hendrik, 24 years old, is particular in charge of the support of athletes on their way to a scholarship.
After Hendrik graduated in Business Administration in Berlin, he decided to become a student-athlete in the USA. As a player of Vista Athletics, he went to San Francisco for graduate school and to play soccer at the highest level. Within these two years on the West Coast, he experienced unique athletic and academic experiences, as well as insane insights in the American lifestyle. Since December 2019, Hendrik is back in his hometown Berlin to work for a business consulting company.

Thorge Jess

Athletes Supervisor
Thorge, 28 years old, works as an athletic advisor and supports our athletes to find their perfect academic and athletic fit.
He studied Business Administration at the Montana State University in Billings for two years as a part of his soccer scholarship. During his time abroad, he was able to gain perfect impressions of the life on campus and knows what it means to be a student athlete. After coming back to Germany he finished his trainee program as an insurance and finance consultant. He is currently studying Economics and Geography in his hometown Kiel.

Mattis Koch

Head of Social Media
Mattis, 21 years old, has been responsible for the social media channels and online marketing since February 2021.
Mattis went to the US in August 2020 where he got a scholarship from the top D1 soccer program at Missouri State University. Prior to his time in the US, he played for 1.FC Union Berlin in the youth Bundesliga as a centre back. Mattis studies psychology and marketing with a undergraduate certificate in business principles.

David Schäfer

David, 21 years old, supports Vista in creating the highlight-tapes and as an video-analyst.
David comes from Berlin and went to Canada as a student-athlete via Vista in 2018. He is currently studying Sport Management at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, where he plays for the MRU Cougars. In the summer of 2021 he was also been playing for Peachtree City in USL League Two. In terms of sport, as well as academically and personally, it was a great experience for him right from the start.

Alexander Kraus

Alexander, 21 years old, supports Vista in creating the highlight-tapes and as an video-analyst.
After graduating from high school in 2018, Alex himself went to the USA as a student-athlete with Vista. He is studying at Auburn University at Montgomery and is doing his bachelor’s degree in international business. After many years in the NLZ and a successful last year in the U19 Bundesliga, he absolutely wanted to venture abroad and the adventure of America. He hasn’t regretted it for a second.

Kimo Lemke

Kimo, 21 years old, supports Vista in creating the highlight-tapes and as an video-analyst.
Kimo is born in Hamburg an went to the US with Vista in 2020. He is currently a sophomore in College in South Carolina and he is enjoying his life as a student-athlete. He used to play soccer for the U17 as well as the U19 of Eimsbütteler TV until he decided to start his journey in the US. Vista Athletics inspired him to choose this path since they were presenting at his former club ETV what it is like to be a student-athlete in the United States. He is glad he started this journey and he is even more glad that this journey isn´t over yet!
